Obituary for Rachel Mintz, widow of Ben Mintz. The Ithaca Journal, Nov 19 1932, P.3

"Mrs. Rachel Mintz, widow of Ben Mintz, who for many years before his death was one of Ithaca's leading clothing merchants, died unexpectedly at her home, 402 West Seneca Street, at 7:30 o'clock last evening.
Mrs. Mintz came to Ithaca with her husband about 56 years ago when Mr. Mintz opened a clothing store which he conducted successfully until his death about 12 years ago. She was born in Germany.
She is survived by six sons, Harry B. Mintz, who is associate corporation counsel at New York City, Aaron B. Mintz, attorney of New York City, J. Jerome Mintz of the United Gas of Philadelphia, and Gustave Earl, Lawrence M. and Lionel E. Mintz of Ithaca, and one daughter, Esther Mintz of this city.
Also 10 grandchildren, Joan, Benjamin, Eileen, Edward, Robert, Francis, Eleanor, Marilyn, Leonard and Mrs. Ruth Levy, and one great-grandson, Benjamin Levy.
The funeral will be held at the family home at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, Nov. 21. Rabbi I. B. Hoffman of Temple Beth-El will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Jewish Cemetery at Syracuse."
