  Funeral services for Harry B. Mintz, former assistant corporation counsel for New York City and a native Ithacan, will be held at the Gilbert Undertaking Parlors, 125 E. Buffalo St.. at 11 a. m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
  Mr. Mintz, who died after a brief illness at his home in Woodside Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1940, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ann Mintz; three brothers, Lawrence M. and Aaron of Ithaca and J. J. Mintz of Washington, D. C., and a sister, Miss Etta Mintz, also of Ithaca.

Harry Mintz, 60, Dies In Woodside [Long Island]

  Funeral services for Harry B. Mintz, native Ithacan and former assistant corporation counsel of New York City, will be held at the Gilbert Undertaking Parlors, 125 E. Buffalo St., at 11 a. m. Sunday.
  Mr. Mintz died at his Woodside, Queens, L. I., home Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1939[sic], after a short illness. He was 60.
  A graduate of the Cornell Law School in 1898, Mr. Mintz practiced throughout his career in the metropolitan area. He was a lawyer for the Transit and Public Service Commissions before appointment as an assistant corporation counsel. While attached to the Queen's district office he tried many important cases for the city including those involving Rockaway Park, Interborough Parkway, Grand Central Parkway, and Main Street, Flushing.
  Since his retirement from the municipal staff five years ago, he has practiced in Jamaica. He was a member of the Jackson Social and Field Club of Woodside, the BPO Elks, Royal Arcanum, and Maccabees.
  He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mintz and is survived by three brothers; Lawrence M. and Aaron of Ithaca and J. J. of Washington, D. C., and a sister, Miss Etta Mintz, also of Ithaca.
  After the services at which Rabbi Frederick Doppelt of Elmira will officiate, interment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
