BF104849-001 DEED (dated 8/3/1936, recorded 8/5/1936) Stanley W. and Esther Y. Warren to George J and Janet Weeks Raleigh,
  This property straddled the border between the Town of Ithaca and Cayuga Heights Village.

The Cornell Directory of Students for 1949-50 listed Janet Raleigh as "Raleigh Janet M 51A 974 Hanshaw Rd 41308." In 1949 and 1952 Ithaca City Directories, George Raleigh is listed, without house number but with the phone number 4-1308. In 1953 Street directory, George is listed on Hanshaw Road as "1010 George J Raleigh 4-1308 @."

Janet Weeks Raleigh died in 1980. George J. Raleigh resided at 1010 Hanshaw Rd, when he died on 11/16/ 1982.

In 1986, their daughter, Mrs. Janet R. O'Connor, (formerly Janet M. Raleigh) as executrix, divided the property. She sold Parcel A and took ownership of Parcel B with her husband, Stanley O'Connor.

049920-001 DEED (dated and recorded 2/28/1986) O'CONNOR JANET R/ AS EXX, RALEIGH GEORGE J/ BY EXX to Janet & Peter Carruthers, 1986, selling Parcel A of 1010 Hanshaw property. The deed includes a survey map with date 2/6/1986. The deed suggests that the Carruthers were already living in 1010 Hanshaw Rd.  This is confirmed in the 1985 Ithaca City Directory, which shows Peter Carruthers at that address.

049925-001 DEED (dated and recorded 2/28/1986) O'CONNOR JANET R/ AS EXX, RALEIGH GEORGE J/ BY EXX to Janet R and Stanley J. O'Connor. The deed includes the same survey map dated 2/6/1986. Transfer of Parcel B. Map shows no residence, but a barn. The barn was still extant and apparently well maintained as of 2025.

Note: In 1986, Janet R and Stanley J. O'Connor lived at 617 Highland Rd, Ithaca.

 "Janet W. Raleigh, 73, of 1010 Hanshaw Road, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1980, at Tompkins County Hospital.
  She was born in Sommerville, Mass., a daughter of the late Asa and Frances Meldrum Weeks. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
  Mrs. Raleigh is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stanley J. O'Connor Jr. of Ithaca; three sons, George Raleigh of Rochester, William Raleigh of Burligame, Calif., and Edward Raleigh of Wilmington, Del.; four grandchildren; a brother, SethLow Weeks of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Herbert of San Diego, Calif.; a niece and a nephew."
