"Three-story, three-bay, brick commercial building; street-level facade has altered storefront (1955, 1977) with display windows and asymmetrical recessed entrance; second and third stories retain segmentally arched windows with projecting cast iron window hoods and sills and non-historic one-over-one sash; entablature consists of four carved wood brackets and dentil course below the overhanging comice; resembles adjacent building at 148 East State Street. Built 1860s."
