From about 1906 until a fire destroyed the buildings in 1914, 132 W State St, 134 W State St, and 134 1/2 W State St existed at this location .
In 1920, a newer building, 132-134 W State St was constructed at this location.

A fire in January 1914 destroyed the two-story frame building owned by Oreste Morris. "The first floor of the building was occupied by Mr. Morris with a shoe shop; William Miller's tailor shop; and the Star Restaurant conducted by Winfield Knapp.... Morris and his family occupied apartments on the second floor but they were out calling at the time the fire broke out."
