Obituary for Philip Bradley Gibson
The [Norwalk, CT] Hour. Published by The Hour on Jan. 9, 2011.

"Philip Bradley Gibson, 89, of Norwalk, husband of the late Bess M. Gibson, died Friday January 7, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital. Born and raised in Ithaca, NY, he graduated from Cornell Hotel School in 1943 and served as coach and captain of the Cornell Ski Team. During WWII, Mr. Gibson was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He was an instructor at the OCS (Officer Candidate School) at Quantico, VA and served Occupation duty in Japan. He later returned to the hospitality industry, working for hotels, restaurants and food services. In 1977 he retired from Sky Chefs, a food service, airline catering and hotel subsidiary of American Airlines. Following his retirement he did Personnel Consulting with independent hotels. Mr. Gibson loved to travel and did so, having visited 35 countries and all seven continents. He is survived by a grandson, Kevin F. Gibson, a great grandson, Kaelem Bradley Gibson, and a daughter in law, Marcy M. Gibson, all of Underhill, VT; a stepson, Lee Gans of Green Junction, CO; a stepdaughter, Deborah Gans Torell and three step grandchildren, Elisa, Benjamin and James Torell, all of Atlanta, GA; a niece, Betsy Noel of CA; a nephew, A. Wright Gibson of Houston, TX and several other nephews. He was also predeceased by two sons, John and Sam Gibson."
