"Marion L. Ward, 74, of 1313 Hanshaw Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1987, in Tompkins Community Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha Lindner.
Mrs. Ward graduated from "Angel in Blue Gingham" in Boston, Mass., in 1928, where she received a degree in nursing. She worked for many years at Massachusetts hospitals and at the Kingsway Hospital in Brooklyn, before moving to Ithaca.
She was a member of PEO, an educational program for women in Boston; and the Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband, H. Schuyler Ward of Ithaca; a son, John Ward of Naples [NY]; a brother, Carl Lindner of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Congregational Church, 309 Highland Road, with the Rev. Douglas Green officiating."
