Obituary for Phyllis May Southby
The Ithaca Journal, Sep 1 1932, P. 3, Col. 4

"Phyllis May Southby, 13, died yesterday afternoon at her home in Forest Home.
  Private funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Roy S. Smyres, pastor of the Forest Home Methodist Epsicopal Church, will officiate.
  She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas K. Southby: three brothers, Ernest, Leonard and Thomas W. Southby; and one sister, Mrs. Robert Van Dyne of Ithaca."

Note: She had been seriously ill for several weeks. Her illness and a stay in hospital were reported in the Ithaca Journal several times.
