Obituary for Abby Lindsley Sanford

"ETNA - Mrs. Abby Lindsley Sanford, 84, of 25 Lower Creek Rd. died unexpectedly at her home Thursday, Nov. 7, 1963 after a heart attack. A former resident of Forest Home, she had lived in Etna for 17 years.
Mrs. Sanford was born in Wrangell, Alaska on Sept. 19, 1879, the daughter of the Rev. S. Hall and Fannie Kellogg Young. She was the widow of Benjamin Sanford.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca and a member of the Past Presidents' Assn. of the Ernestine Circle of that church. She was a member of Etna Community Club and an honorary member of Forest Home Sewing Circle.
She is survived by two sons, Benjamin E. Sanford Jr. of Ithaca and Hall Y. Sanford of Candor; four daughters, Mrs. Kathleen F. Dean and Mrs. Margaret S. Hughes, Ithaca, Mrs. Ruth S. Seither of Etna and Mrs. June H. Dona of East Aurora; 23 grandchildren: 31 great-grandchildren and three nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Forest Home Chapel. The Rev. Paul Clark of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. After cremation, burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery."
