"MONTGOMERY, MA - Robert B. Goodman, 78, of 47 Pine Hill Ridge Road, died Monday, March 8, 1999 in Baystate Medical Center. Born and raised in Ithaca, NY, he was formerly a resident of Batavia, NY for several years. He moved to Montgomery, Mass. in 1978.
  He was a graduate of Ithaca High School class of 1937, and was a 1941 graduate of Cornell University earning a bachelors degree in Agricultural Engineering. He was a retired Manager and Agricultural engineer for Agway Distribution Center in Westfield, Ma. He also worked for several Agway distribution centers in the upstate New York area.
  Mr. Goodman was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Army Air Corp. as a B-29 Flight Engineer and as an Aircraft Engineering officer, he held the rank of 2nd Lt.
  He leaves his wife of almost 55 years, the former Janet Pond; 2 sons Robert M. Madison, Wisconsin and Thomas D. of Little Compton, Rhode Island; 3 sisters, Clara E. Goodman of Ithaca, NY, Eunice G. Shaul of Fulton, NY, and Eleanor G. Corvini of Bronxville, NY; 4 grandchildren. A son Richard B. died in 1986."
