“The final transaction has been made in the sale of Lake View Dairies of 312 Fourth St. to Seneca Farms All-Star Dairies of Dundee. The sale was made final last week.
The Lake View which had been operated by Walter P. Schlotzhauer of 303 Valley Rd., will be taken over by the Dundee organization for an undisclosed sum. Sale includes processing plant, office building, routes and trucks. The Dundee group will move its home operation to the newly acquired site. It will be known as Lake View All-Star Dairies.
The Dundee firm is affiliated with the All-Star Dairy Assn.
The acquisition came shortly after the Dundee group purchased Hoffmire Dairy of Trumansburg, North Spencer Dairy Co. and dairies in Candor and Cayuga County. Ithaca will be the firm’s base of operations.
Lake View was incorporated in 1921 by Albert A Schlotzhauer, Walter’s father. Before incorporation the dairy had been known as Brock and Jenks and the Liddington Milk Co.”
