"NEWFIELD - Phyllis Hutchings, 77, of 261 Main St., Newfield, died Friday, January 8, 1999 at home. She was born in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Phythian and Hilda Bratt Horton.
  She was a graduate of Cascadilla Preparatory School and received her L.P.N. degree from TC3. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Historic Ithaca and had previously been employed in the 4H Program through Green Thumb and as a nurse in the Cortland area for several years. She was a member of the Danby Federated Church.
  Mrs. Hutchings is survived by her daughter, Nancie (Daniel) Lummuka of Newfield; son, David Marsden of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in the Danby Federated Church, Rev. Charles Hakes and Rev. E.J. Miller, Jr. officiating. ... The Leon A. Oltz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
