“On November 11, 1880, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Williams of 119 Cleveland Avenue, were married at the home of the bride in Bradford, Pa. On the occasion of their 50th anniversary last evening they were re-wed, the ceremony being performed before a large gathering of friends and relatives at the family home.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. M. Byrd, pastor of the St. James A.M.E. Zion Church. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were attended by Mrs. Ida Thomas and James Cooper, Mrs. Harriet Hart of Rochester was matron of honor, Mrs. Ola Riley, a niece of the bride and bridegroom, flower girl and Mrs. Vera Irvin, train bearer. The bride was presented by Frank Jeffrey and Miss Eleanor Irving [Irvin], a great-grandniece played the wedding mach [sic]….”
