“Mrs. Cornelia Winters Williams of Auburn, formerly of Ithaca died Saturday, Mar. 14, 1953 in Mercy Hospital, Auburn, at the age of 90.
She was the widow of William Riley Williams, who died in Ithaca in 1933. They were married Nov. 11, 1880, in Braddock, Pa. She was a native of Hume, Allegany County. She was a member of St. James AME Zion Church, Ithaca. She had lived 2 years in Auburn with a great grandniece, Mrs. Charles R. Hardy.
Other survivors are three… nieces, Mrs. Ola Riley of Rochester, Mrs. Charles Reed and Mrs. Henry Van Horn of Ithaca, another great-grandniece, Mrs. David C. Carter of Alcorn, Miss. And two grandnephews, William T. Irving [Irvin] of Rochester and Edward L. Irvin [Irvin] of Ithaca.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery [Ithaca]. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Brew’s Funeral Chapel, Auburn.”
