Buildings on the site of #214, #216, #218 W State St. and #107 W. Albany St.:
  1. The original buildings on the site were #1509 and #1510 W. State.
  2. Per 1898 Sanborn map, #1509 was numbered  #38 & #1510 was renumbered #39.
  3. As of 1899, #38 was renumbered again, to #214, and #30 was renumbered #216.
  4. By 1910, the area previously shared equally between 2 units (214 and 216, or 38 and 39) was shown as 3: #214, #216, and #218 W. State.
  5. Notes say that #214, #216, & #218 W State St, & #107 N Albany St "are all one structure with openings between the different operations.” This structure appears to be still standing in the 1954 picture #4223.
  6. Directories show that the area was vacant as of 1960. (Ithaca directory, Street directory, p. 517)
  7. Later it housed “Home-Way Sales” (furniture), possibly in the original building. (1966 Ithaca directory, street directory, p. 588)
  8. By 1967, a different building was in place at 214-218. “Dean-Phipps Stores Inc” sold tires and auto parts from a 1-story building.
