“Warsaw, Nov. 2—Word was reached here Saturday of the death on Friday of John Gordon in Ithaca. He was about 70 years old and former resident of this village, having moved from Ithaca several years ago. His wife, Mary Winters Gordon, died September 21, 1906, and he leaves on [sic] daughter, Mrs. Ola Gordon Boyce. The remains will be brought to Warsaw Monday morning and brief services will be held in the chapel of the Congregational Church, Dr. G. H. Burgess officiating, and burial will take place in the Warsaw cemetery.”
