Obituary for Robert James Van Dyne

"Robert James Van Dyne died July 6, 1982, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Lancaster, Pa. as the result of injuries received in an auto accident on May. 30. 1982. near Carlisle, Pa. His wife had died June 2. 1982 from injuries received in the same accident.
Mr. Van Dyne, 73, had lived for the last 14 years in Salunga, Pa. since his retirement from National Cash Register in Mount Joy, Pa. Before that he had lived most of his life in Ithaca.
Mr. Van Dyne was born in Painted Post, the son of the late LeRoy and Mary Smith Van Dyne. He was a former pressman in Ithaca with NCR, a member of Ithaca VFW post, and a former drum major with Ithaca VFW Drum and Bugle corps.
He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Lodge 823, Geneva.
He is survived by a son, Lt. Cmdr. (Ret.) LeRoy T. Van Dyne, of Silver Springs, Md.; a daughter, Dawn P. Kirchgraber, of Pinellas Park, Fla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the James B. Heilig funeral home, 21 W. Main Street, Mount Joy."
