 "Miss Dorothy Marie Farrell, daughter of Mr. and/ Mrs. John B. Farrell of Lansing, and Paul L. McKeegan, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. McKeegan of Ithaca, were married at 8 o'clock this morning at the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Byrne, pastor, assisted by the Rev. George Kalb of King Ferry. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hamill of Groton.
  The bride wore pale pink satin with matching turban and slippers and carried a bouquet of white Killarney roses and Swansonia. She was attended by her sister, Miss Mildred Farrell, as maid of honor. and by Miss Claudine Kane as bridesmaid, both of whom wore Jacob blue satin with matching accessories and carried rapture roses. Karl Krist was best man, and the ushers were Hugh Malone of New York City and Dr. Robert Price.
  The church was decorated with palms and gladioli, Mrs, Frank Kane and John Purcell sang Arcadelt's Ave Maria at the Offertory of the Mass and Montani's Agnus Dei at Communion. George King Driscoll, cousin of the bridegroom, played organ music before the ceremony and presided at the organ during the Mass.
  Both Mr. and Mrs. MeKeegan are members of the administrative staff of Cornell University. After a wedding trip to New York City and Washington, D. C. they will make their home at 107 South Cayuga Street. ..."

'Paul L. McKeegan, Budget Director Emeritus and former vice provost at Cornell University, died in Tompkins Community Hospital, Sunday, Jan. 2, 1983. Mr. McKeegan, 70, lived at 1201 Hanshaw Road.
  During his long tenure at Cornell, Mr. McKeegan had worked for five of Cornell's eight presidents; coming as an assistant in the university treasurer's office in 1930. He subsequently served as assistant auditor, assistant treasurer, controller in 1953, budget director in 1956 and vice provost and a member of Cornell faculty in 1972. He retired in 1977.
  He had been a director of Tompkins County Trust Co. for 28 years, a trustee of Tompkins Cortland Community College for the past five years. Also he had been a director of Cornell University Press Ltd., the Ithaca Reconstruction Home, Glee Club Advisory Board, the Athletic Council, Central New York Blue Shield and the Cornell Aeronautical Lab.
  Mr. McKeegan was also a member of Quill and Dagger, Country Club of Ithaca, Statler Club, Tower Club; and a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
  Of Mr. McKeegan's death, Cornell President Emeritus Dale R. Corson said, "Of all the people I have ever worked with, Paul McKeegan stood right at the top of the list, for his integrity, for his imagination, for his loyalty, for his good humor and for his warm friendship.
  "His attitude was always, What can I do to help you?' — an attitude he brought to all the people he served. He could find ways of doing things where I was sure none existed."
Raymond VanHoutte, president of Tompkins County Trust Co., said, "He has served as a director of the trust company since 1954. We owe much of our growth and prosperity to his vision and judgment.
  "Paul also contributed substantially toward improving the cooperative spirit between Cornell and the Ithaca community."
  Mr. McKeegan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Farrell McKeegan; three daughters: Carol Kent of Boulder, Colo., Kathleen Causer of Englewood, Colo. and Terry Davis of Ludlowville; seven grand-children; a sister-in-law, Mildred Rodgers; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.'
