Obituary for Ceylon M. Sutherland DVM (died March 4, 2018)

 "Ceylon M. "Teter" Sutherland, DVM, 87 of DeRuyter, passed away Sunday at his home with family at his side. He was born in Clinton and was a graduate of Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine.
  He had a private practice and retired as a supervising veterinarian for the USDA. He was a former member of the DeRuyter Central School Board of Education and the BOCES Board. He was a member of the Ruritan.
  Surviving: daughters Shari (Roger) Elliott and Pamela (Jim) Gallerani of DeRuyter, Andrea (Charles) Sutherland of Bedford, NH; sons Michael (Kerry) of Cumberland, RI., David (Kelley) of Coventry, CT; Richard (Brenda) of DeRuyter, and Scott (Kris) of Altamont; brothers Scott of Norfolk, VA and John of DeRuyter, 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
  He was predeceased by his wife Joan, daughter Susan Friedman and granddaughter Meghan Elliott."
