"Farm Manager Dies
  John A. Dunn, 56, of 132 Turkey Hill Rd. died in Arnot-Ogden Hospital, Elmira, on Sunday, July 20, 1969 after a short illness.
  He had been manager of Cornell University's swine farm since 1945.
  Mr. Dunn was graduated in 1935 from Cornell with a B.S. degree in agriculture, was Soil Conservation agent in Cobleskill from 1939 though 1943, and then operated a farm until accepting the job with Cornell. He was co-author of many papers on care of swine and did research in the field.
  He has been active in Boy Scouting, first as Cub master of the Pack in Varna, then as an assistant scoutmaster and scoutmaster of Troop 45 there.  He had been an assistant neighborhood commissioner working with adult scouters at roundtables and, at the time of death, was a
Neighborhood Commissioner. When Camp Barton held open house early this month, Mr. Dunn was one of the hosts.
  He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. 
  Among survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Shaver Dunn; two sons, George A. and John C Dunn, and a daughter, Miss Joan E. Dunn, all at home."
