Obituary for Kenneth A. Luhrs

"Kenneth A. Luhrs. 69, of 75 Shudaben Rd.. died Monday. January 8, 2001 at the Cayuga Medical Center. Born May 31, 1931 in Dryden, he was a son of the late Albert and Dorotha English Luhrs and husband of the late Hazel Marie Luhrs who died in 1995.
  A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a truck driver with Lott Motor Lines in Ithaca prior to retirement. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #666 and a life member of FW Post #961.
  Mr. Luhrs is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dorotha "Dody" and Gary Stage, daughter and partner, Kendra "Kandy" Luhrs and Karen Swartwood, all of Ithaca; granddaughter Stacy Luhrs and grandson, Jason Stage, both of Ithaca; brothers, Richard Luhrs of Weimer, Texas and Lou Mengle of Hartford, NY: sisters, Lee Billings of Newfield and Marilyn Ellis of Herndon, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. January 10, 2001 in the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca, Rev. Virgil Versteeg officiating. Spring burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery."
