Aaron Clapp, aged about fifty years, brother of George L. Clapp, of this city, and himself a former resident of Ithaca, was found dead yesterday morning at Sayre where he has been employed for a number of years as a painter in the Lehigh Valley shops. His death was caused by cancer.

Mr. Clapp was well known in Ithaca. He was one of the first mail carriers of the Ithaca postofflce and was a former member of Eureka Fire and
Patrol Company, No. 4. At the time of his death he was foreman of the Lehigh Valley shop fire department. Mr. Clapp was at one time well
known as a professional baseball player.
