Obituary for Carey A. Barkdoll Sr.

"Carey A. Barkdoll Sr., 89. of 1301 Dryden Road. Ithaca, died Sunday. January 24. 1999 at the Cayuga Medical Center after a short illness.
Born March 3, 1909 in West Unity. Ohio. he was the son of the late Carey P. and Sarah Allen Barkdoll.
Moving here when he was a small child, he had attended the 8th Square Brick School House and had graduated from the Ithaca High School. He had been employed for over 52 years with various Chevrolet dealerships in the area retiring from Zikakis Chevrolet. He was a life member of Aerie #1253. F.O.E. in Ithaca and was an avid bowler.
Surviving him is his wife of 68 years, Alice M. English Barkdoll at home: his son and daughter-in-law. Carey A. Jr. and Alberta of Ithaca; a grandson Carey Barkdoll III of Candor; his step-grandchildren: Melissa, Michael and Matthew Cooper, all of Dundee; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Nancy Pratt of Lockport.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James Geuder officiating at Herson Funeral Home, 110 South Geneva St. Spring interment will take place in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden."
