The bride was graduated from Cornell with the class of 1934, and is the teacher of home economics in McLean High School."

"Frank L. McCartney, experimentalist for the Cornell Poultry Department, 'has been awarded a Certificate of Merit and $50 by the New York State Employees' Merit Award Board. This award was given for McCartney's time-and-labor-saving portable automatic sink. The sink cuts time in half on the job of emptying, cleaning, and refilling glass drinking bottles for baby chicks in research brooders. The device includes an electrically driven cleaning brush and an automatic filler faucet. ... McCartney is married to Dorothy Hungerford, a native Ithacan and graduate of the College of Home Economics. They have two children, Ethel 12, and Richard 11. ... Together the McCartney's have worked on their hobby of building. They began with remodelling jobs and ended by constructing all of their present house on the Ellis Hollow Road except the cellar and well."
