Marriage of Jean Marian Palmer to William Charles Buell on June 9, 1951.
The Ithaca Journal, Jun 14 1951, P. 4, Col. 4, with photo of bride

"At 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 1951 in Forest Home Chapel, Miss Jean Marian Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn C. Palmer of Forest Home, became the bride of William Charles Buell son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick A. Buell of Holcomb. The Rev. Ralph N. Helverson officiated at the double-ring ceremony in a setting of white snapdragons, gladioli and a banking of palms. Mrs. Clesson Turner played traditional wedding music. Only the immediate families and close relatives were present.
Given in marriage by her father the bride wore an ankle length gown of hand embroidered white organdy, a heart-shaped headdress of tulle and a round bouquet of white daisies.
Mrs. Donald F. Buell of Canandaigua, the bridegroom's sister-in-law, was matron of honor. Her dress was of apple green nylon and she wore a matching hat and carried a round bouquet of vari-colored gerberas.
Peggy Buell, the bridegroom's niece, was the flower girl. She wore a frock of yellow organdy and carried a nosegay of gerberas and yellow and white daisies.
Mrs. Andrews wore a sheer medium blue daytime dress with white accessories and a brooch of Pinocchio roses and the bridegroom's mother wore a sheer brown dress with brown accessories and a corsage of Goldilock roses.
Donald F. Buell of Canandaigua, the bridegroom's brother, was best man and the ushers were Glenn C. Palmer Jr., of Forest Home and G. Buell Culver of Rochester.
After a buffet supper and reception at the chapel the couple left on a wedding trip to Texas where they will spend the summer. For traveling the bride wore a lilac suit with white accessories.
Mrs. Buell was graduated from Ithaca High School and from the University of Rochester School of Nursing at Strong Memorial Hospital. She is on the nursing staff at Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Buell was graduated from Bloomfield Central School, East Bloomfield, and has completed 2 years of study in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University.
Prenuptial events for the bride were showers given by Mrs. A. W. Gibson and her daughter, Mrs. L. M. Noel; Mrs. Frederick Buell and Mrs. Donald Buell in Holcomb; Mrs. David S. Perry and by Mrs. Floyd E. Andrews."
