Obituary for Fanny P. Pond
The Ithaca Journal, Mar 24 1960, P. 2, Col. 4-5.

"Funeral services for Mrs. Fanny P. Pond of Babcock Terr., South Bethlehem and formerly of Ithaca, who died March 22, 1960, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Tebbutt's Memorial Chapel, 176 State St., Albany. The Rev. William I. Cosman, pastor of the South Bethlehem Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends may call at the chapel this evening.
  Born on Sept. 7, 1869 in New Haven, Conn., Mrs. Pond moved to Ithaca in 1902 after her marriage to the late Miles A. Pond, professor of mathematics at Cornell University for more than 35 years until his retirement in 1935.
  Maintaining her home on Forest Home Drive until 1955, Mrs. Pond was a member of the First Congregational Church.
  Suviving[sic] are her son, Dr. Chester B. Pond, director of research for the State Department of Taxation and Finance; and her granddaughter, Miss Jane Elizabeth Pond."
