Obituary for Ralph H. Westervelt

"Ralph H. Westervelt, 82, of 215 Forest Home Drive, Ithaca, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1983 in Tompkins Community Hospital.
Mr. Westervelt was born in Ithaca, son of the late Delmont E. and Anna Crozier Westervelt. He graduated from Cornell University in 1922 and was employed in the engineering department of Morse Chain Co. until his retirement in 1966. He was a member of Forest Home Chapel.
His late wife, Julia, died Sept. 3, 1983. They had been married 53 years.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Joel Blodgett of Peoria, Ill.; two granddaughters, Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Forest Home Chapel. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to Forest Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Bangs Funeral Home."
