Obituary for Amy M. Whetzel

"Amy M. Whetzel, 92, of 206 Forest Home Drive, died Monday, July 24, 1989, in her home.
She was born in Avilla, Ind., daughter of the late Joseph Conrad and Gertrude Eckles Whetzel.
A graduate of Ithaca High School and Miss Williams Business School of Ithaca, she was employed by the New York State College of Agriculture at Cornell University as an executive secretary, retiring in 1958.
She was a member of Forest Home Chapel and the Business and Professionals Women Club.
She is survived by five nieces, Ruth Whetzel of Ithaca, Emma Gilbreth of Scott Valley, Calif., Gertrude Grover Lott of Essex, Conn., Amy Barker of Kendallville, Ind., and Ellen K. Whetzel of Lexington, S.C.; and three nephews, Henry Osner of Modesto, Calif., Russell Whetzel of Hudson, Ind., and Harry Whetzel of Wolcottville, Ind.
A memorial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, in Forest Home Chapel with the Revs. Roy Smyres and Stephen Kish officiating.
Private graveside services will be in East Lawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Memorials may be made to the Forest Home Chapel, 222 Forest Home Drive.
