Obituary for Mary Johns

"Ithaca: Mary Johns, 85, of N. Cayuga St., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Hospicare Residence.
She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Moses and Julia Deeb Johns.
Mary was a real estate agent with Christopher George Real Estate and had previously worked at Citizen's Savings Bank and as a receptionist. She was a longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a former member of the Ithaca Board of Realtors. Mary was passionate about walking, especially with her late mother. She always believed that there was nothing more beneficial for your mind, body and soul than to take a nice long walk.
A loving and devoted aunt, cousin and friend, Mary is survived by her nephews, Al Johns, Jim Johns and Lee (Julie) Johns; her great niece and great nephew, Roslyn and Justin Johns; and numerous cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Myrtle Johns. Funeral services will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Strauss on Tuesday, July 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be private."
