  "Mrs. Ethel M. Scott, 53, of 118 S. Plain St., died Wednesday, Mar. 12, 1947, at her home after a long illness.
  She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Needlecraft Club, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
  She is survived by her husband, Edward W. Scott; a daughter, Miss Catherine Scott; 3 sons, Edward Scott Jr., Fred Scott, and Miller Scott, all of Ithaca; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Henry Miller of Rochester and James and Alonzo Miller of Glenallen, Va., and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. B. L. Payne, pastor, officiating.
  Burial will be in the family plot in Lake View Cemetery.
  Friends may call at the Herson Funeral Home, 11 S. Geneva St., Saturday afternoon and evening."
