Obituary for Rose H. Munsey

"Mrs. Rose H. Munsey, 88, of 114 Ferris Place, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 19, 1957, at her home after a heart attack.
  She was the widow of John G Munsey, former Town of Dryden Highway Superintendent who died in 1942. A native of Virgil she was born Aug. 25, 1868, and lived in Dryden until 1948 when she moved to Ithaca.
  She was a graduate of the old Cortland Normal School and was a school teacher in the Dryden School system for several years. She was also postmistess at Dryden for several years.
  A member and former deaconess of the Dryden Presbyterian Church she was also a charter member and first matron for two terms of Dryden Chapter 250, Order of Eastern Star; a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans of Ithaca and was a charter and former member of the Fortnightly Club of Dryden.
  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Reas of Ithaca; a grandson, John Reas of Pearl River; a granddaughter, Miss Janet' Reas of Sealand, Wales; a sister, Mrs. Richard Jewett of Berkshire and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dryden Presbyterian Church with the Rev James MacKellar, pastor, officiating.
  Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery.
  Friends may call at the Perkins Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m."
