"Dryden Justice Dies at Home
John G. Munsey, justice of the peace and member of the Dryden Town Board, died at his home in Dryden Sunday night, Sept. 27, after a week's illness.
He was born in Dryden Sept. 27, 1879, the son of John and Marion Steele Munsey. He served the township 20 years as superintendent of highways. He worked in the Department of Public Works in Ithaca for 6 years and was with the County Highway Department for 14 years.
He was also a member of the Masonic order in Dryden for forty years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Munsey; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Reas of Dryden; one brother, William A. Munsey of Forest Home, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Perkins Funeral Home, with interment in Willow Glen Cemetery."
