"John H. Tyler, a Civil War veteran, died this morning at 2 o'clock at his home on Wheat street. He was the son of the late Zachariah Tyler and was well known in Ithaca. He is survived by his widow.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the home and at 3 p.m. from the A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will be in City Cemetery."
