“Elsie Williams Robinson, 100, of Ithaca, formerly of Sheldrake-on-Cayuga, died Wednesday, May 27, 1987, in Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Ithaca, a daughter of the late George R. and Ellen Boardman Williams. She was the granddaughter of the late Douglass and Amanda Boardman and Josiah B. and Mary Williams. She was married to the late James R. Robinson, Ithaca attorney and assemblyman.

Mrs. Robinson was active in organizations serving children and youth in Ithaca, including the Camp Fire Girls and the Ithaca Children’s Home, the predecessor of Family and Children’s Service. She taught Sunday school at the Presbyterian Church in Ithaca for many years. After moving to Sheldrake, she wrote several books on local history, which were published privately for family and friends.”
