Obituary for Robert Schurman

"Robert Schurman Dies in West"
"Robert Schurman, 53, eldest son of former President Jacob Gould Schurman of Cornell, died Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8, 1941, at his residence, 1925 Gough St., San Francisco, Calif.
  A native of this city where he attended the Ithaca public schools, Mr. Schurman is survived, besides his father, by his widow, Mrs. Bernice Wilson Schurman; a son, Jacob Gould Schurman III, both of San Francisco; two brothers, George M. Schurman and Jacob Gould Schurman Jr., both of New York, and three sisters, Mrs. John Magruder of Fort Devens, Ayer, Mass., Mrs. Vladimir Petropavlovsky, now of Hongkong, China, and Mrs. Dorothy Hawes of Fredericksburg, Va.
  Mr. Schurman was graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell in 1907, where he was affiliated with Alpha Delta Phi fraternity."
