"College president's wife, 69
Mrs. Ruth S. Ludlum, wife of Dr: Robert P. Ludlum, president of Anne Arundel Community College, died Tuesday at North Arundel Convalescent Home after a lengthy illness. She was 69.
Born in Ithica[sic], N. Y., Mrs. Ludlum attended Stanford University and was a graduate of Cornell University.
She was a member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and P.E.O. Dr. Ludlum will retire as president of the college at the end of this school year.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Ludlum is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Susan Ludlum of Providence, R. L and Mrs. Margaret Hashimoto of Seattle, Wash.; three grandsons and a brother, Alpheus W. Smith of Ithica[sic], N. Y."
