"William John Woodams passed away on Sept. 14th 2011 after a long and fulfilling life. Bill was born on October 17, 1921. He is survived by his three children, his grandchildren and his brother and sister. Bill grew up in Ithaca and worked for NCR as a self taught, highly respected and talented engineer. He and his beloved wife Barbara raised their 3 children in the Trumansburg area where they were active in the school, church and scouting. Bill loved the railroad and after their kids were grown he and Barb went on several cross country train trips and enjoyed many adventures together. Bill will be remembered as a tall, quiet, kind and gracious man with a dry sense of humor and a ferocious handshake."
