Obituary for Earl R. Bartholf -- Retired Gas Station Manager Dies

"Earl R. Bartholf, 68, of 967 Taughannock Blvd., former gas station owner, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 7, 1973, at his home. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Mamie W. Bartholf
He was a 47-year member of the Odd Fellows Lodge: a former member of Newfield Masonic Lodge: a former trustee of the First Congregational Church, and was a member of East Hill Merchants.
He was the proprietor of the Earl Bartholf Gas Station from 1944 to 1966, when he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Bartholf: his stepmother, Mrs. Rose Bartholf of Ithaca: three daughters, Mrs. Bruce Reynolds of Trumansburg. Mrs. Donald Pegosh of New Shewsbury, N.J.. and Mrs. Robert Flannery of Midland. Mich.; ten grandchildren: a brother, Glen Bartholf of Miami, Fla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Herson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Clair officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery."
