"SYRACUSE - Roy Lackner, 71, of N. Townsend St., Syracuse, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at his home. He was born in Newfield, NY, son of the late Frank and Beatrice Purdy Lackner.
  He was retired from Crouse-Hinds, originally Cooper Industries where he had worked for many years. 
  Roy is survived by his wife. Helen Lackner of Syracuse; five sisters; four brothers; his stepdaughter, Mary; and dear friend, Annie. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers and a special niece, Christiana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at ll am at the Bangs Funeral Home, Ithaca, NY with interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield."
