Gertrude B. Strong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ortha L. Strong of Trumansburg was married to
William S. Neef Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Neef of Dayton, Ohio, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 1952, at the First Presbyterian Church in Trumansburg. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. H. Mickelsen, pastor of the church, before a background of lighted tapers, white gladioli and a banking of palms.

Miss Mary Duddleston of Trumansburg was the maid of honor and Miss Caroline Booth of Pittsford and Mrs. Ina Bean of McGraw were bridesmaids.

James Neef of Dayton was best man for his brother. Another brother, Robert Neef, also of Dayton, and Henry Germond of Little Silver, N.J. were the ushers.

Prenuptial events were a shower breakfast given by her sorority sisters at the Alpha Xi Delta house; a kitchen shower by the bride's cousin, Mrs. Robert Boda of Danby; a variety shower by Miss Duddleston at her home; a rehearsal dinner at Taughannock Farm Inn, given by the groom's parents, and a luncheon at the bride's home, given by her parents.
Mrs. Neef was graduated from Trumansburg Central School and from the college of Home Economics at Cornell University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and of Pi Lambda Theta, Omicron Nu, and Kappa Delta Epsilon honor societies, and where she will be a graduate assistant in Home Economics this fall.
Mr. Neef was graduated from Fairview High School of Dayton and from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Cornell where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Pi Tau Sigma honor society, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He is employed as a design engineer at Aeroproducts Division of General Motors Corporation of Vandalia, Ohio, and will be an instructor at Cornell this Fall."
