Obituary for Robert J. Bruce

"Robert J. Bruce, 79, of 123 Columbia St. died Wednesday Oct. 17, 1979 at home.
  Mr. Bruce was retired after working as a printer at Wilcox Press for many years. He was also a former Ithaca fire commissioner and former police commissioner.
  He was a member of the Sandy Creek Masonic Lodge, a member of the Veteran Fireman's Association and a member of No. 2 Fire Company of Ithaca.
  Mr. Bruce is survived by his wife, Esther L. Bruce; a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Virginia) Naples of Dade City, Fla.; a son, Robert J. Bruce Jr. of Tequesta, Fla.; three granddaughters and several cousins.
  A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Danby Federated Church with the Rev. E.J. Miller, church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Danby Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family."
