"Funeral services for Prof. Miles A. Pond of Forest Home, who died Monday, Jan. 3, 1944, Were conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Edward L. Christie, pastor of the First Congregational Church, and by the Rev. F. C. Travaille of Forest Home Chapel.
  Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery."
