"Mrs. Julia Virginia White, 79, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 29, 1929, at her home, 311 S. Plain St.
  Widow of the Rev. William D. White, she was a member of the St. James AME Zion Church of which her husband was a former pastor.
  She is survived by a brother, Edward W. Scott Sr. of Ithaca; a sister, Mra. Emma Bowles of Irwin, Va.; three nieces, and five nephews.
  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. James AME Zion Church.
  Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
  Friends may call at the Herson Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."
