"General's Widow Dies at 81
WASHINGTON - Helen Schurman Magruder, 81, a native Ithacan who was the daughter of former Cornell University President Jacob Gould Schurman, died here Tuesday, Feb. 17. 1976.
  Mrs. Magruder was the widow of Brig. Gen. John Magruder, who served with the War Department general staff and Army intelligence agencies.
  She is survived by a son. Malcolm Magruder of Wesport, Conn.; a daughter, Barbara O'Brien of Washington: a sister, Mrs. James Sisk of Purcellville. Va.. and three grandchildren. Services were held in Washington at the weekend."
