"A barn with a history was torn down in downtown Ithaca recently. It was on the property of Arthur Stallman on S. Tioga St., adjacent to the tuning fork and behind the former Wool-Scott Bakery building.
Stallman said that the barn at one time housed a bottling works. It also was the home of horses used for delivery by D. B. Stewart & Co., wholsesale grocers. The Stewart building also has been razed to make way for the tuning fork and a new building Stallman has erected."
