"Mrs. Mary Josephine Washington...was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church and had been employed in food service at Ithaca College.
  She is survived by her husband, Howard F. Washington, a daughter, Mrs. Phillip Taylor of New York City; her mother, Mrs. Mary Thomas of Ithaca; five brothers, Walter Thomas of Hollis, L.I., Ernest, Albert, Charles, and Robert Thomas, all of Ithaca; and a sister Mrs. Sinclair Mann of Ithaca. Her late father was Fred Thomas."
