Obituary for Nancy Kritser Masterman

"Nancy Kritser Masterman, 89, of 124 Judd Falls Road, Ithaca, died Sept. 21, 1983, in Lakeside Nursing Home.
Mrs. Masterman was born on July 4, 1894, daughter of the late Martha and John Kritser, both children of pioneer parents on the Texas and Missouri frontiers.
  She graduated with honors from the College of Industrial Arts in Denton, Texas, served in the Army Nurse Corps in World War I and received a master's degree in Home Economics from Cornell University in 1926. She later worked at Cornell researching food freezing.
  Mrs. Masterman is survived by her husband, Arthur John Masterman of Ithaca; two sons: John Shelby Masterman of Kansas City and David Sloan Masterman of Santa Fe, New Mexico; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
  A memorial service will be held at Forest Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Tom Wolfe will officiate. Burial will be in Taylor, Texas."
