“Albert H. Landon, 84, a native and life-long resident of Brooktondale, died at 4 a. m. today, Thursday, June 27, 1940, at his home in Brooktondale. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gilbert's Undertaking Parlors, 125 E. Buffalo St., the Rev. Floyd Morris of Slaterville Springs officiating. Interment will be in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale. 
Besides his widow, Mrs. Ada Landon, he is survived by one daughter, Olive A. Landon of Brooktondale; a son, Wilber of Ithaca; a stepson, Edward H. Young; one stepdaughter Mrs. Fred Vaughn, both of Ithaca: a sister, Mrs. M. C. Holcomb of Long Beach, Calif.; two nieces, Mrs. R. G. 
Wiggans of Forest Home, Mrs. Leonard Haseman of Columbia, Mo.. and a nephew, Elmer Landon of Webster Grove, Mo. 
Mr. Landon was a member of the Brooktondale Congregational Church and Slaterville Springs Lodge, F. & A. Masons.”
