“A former resident of Ithaca, George Small, 86, a lumberman, died Oct. 11, 1936, at his home in New Westminster, B. C., Canada.
Born in Southampton, England, Mr. Small came to Ithaca as a young man, remaining until 30 years ago when he moved west. He was engaged in the lumber industry in New York State and continued in that business until his retirement in 1926.
For many years he was a member of the board of directors of the Royal Columbian Hospital, serving as president and finance chairman.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Edith, of Vancouver, B.C. a brother, Albert Ridge, and a sister, Miss Emma Small of England.”
