" John John Skory, 94, of New London, entered eternal life on June 5, 2012 at home in the comfort of his family. He was born on September 11, 1917 in Fork River, Manitoba, Canada, the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Beyko) Skory. He spent his high school years in High River, attended Calgary Normal School, and taught in a one room rural school with 28 students grades first to ninth in Bergen, Alberta for two years.
  He earned his graduate degrees at the University of Alberta (BS 1946), Iowa State College (MS 1947) and Cornell University (PhD 1951) in the fields of Agronomy, Nutrition and Mathematical Statistics. 
  He was employed as an Applied and Research Statistician in product development, manufacturing and quality control at Bristol-Meyers in NJ, Combustion Engineering in Windsor, United Aircraft in Farmington, Naval Underwater Systems Center in New London, and United Nuclear in Uncasville."
